The ParaNoya universe combines traditional casino card games with collectible card game (CCG) mechanisms to create CasiNoya. Currently, 4 casino games have been ParaNoya'd: 5-Card Poker, Blackjack, Chinese Poker, Battle. In each CasiNoya game, players compete using their own 54-card deck. By winning a hand, the player becomes the attacker and can attack the other players one by one - the other players will be the defenders, defending against the attacker. During the battle, the Defender will first activate the effects of his hand to protect himself, then the Attacker will activate his, while inflicting hit points according to the strength of the hand (relative to the current game). When a player's hit points drop to 0, or the player can no longer draw cards, he or she is eliminated, and the last player alive wins.
In this version of 5-card poker, players draw 5 cards from their own deck to form their initial hand. They then decide which cards they wish to discard, and again draw the same number of cards from their own deck. After redistributing the cards and choosing the value of the Joker (if present in the hand), each player shows his or her hand. The player with the strongest hand (from a poker point of view) will be chosen as the attacker, and the others will be the defenders. The attacker attacks each defender in a clockwise direction, with the defender playing his effects first, then the attacker. Once all battles have been completed, the cards that were in the hands are thrown into the player's pit, and the discarded cards are returned to their respective decks. The game ends when only one player is left alive, or if a hand of 5 cards cannot be obtained. In the event of a tie, the tied players reconstitute their decks and play until there is no longer a tie.
In this version of Blackjack, players don't play against the casino, but against each other. At the start of each round, players draw two cards from their deck and place them in their hand. These two cards remain face-down in front of you. All players can decide whether to draw a card from their own deck and show it to everyone, or not to draw a card until the end of the round. The aim is to get as close as possible to 31 (as opposed to 21 for normal Blackjack) without going over. If a player exceeds 31, he may not draw another card for the rest of the round. Players who have decided to draw a card are allowed to draw again until they decide not to draw again for the round, or they burn out (exceed 31). As soon as none of the players can draw, the initially hidden cards are revealed to everyone. The player closest to 31 with the fewest cards will be chosen as the attacker, and the others as the defenders. The attacker attacks each defender clockwise, the defender playing his effects first, then the attacker. Once all battles have been completed, any cards in the hands are thrown into the pit. If a player can no longer draw, or if his hit points drop to 0, he dies. The game ends when only one player is left alive. In the event of a tie, the players concerned reconstitute their game and play until there is no longer a tie.
In this version of Chinese poker, players draw 13 cards from their own deck. With these 13 cards, each player will form 3 poker hands, the first hand having 3 cards and being the weakest, the second hand having 5 cards and being stronger than the first and the last hand having 5 cards and being stronger than the second. Once everyone has chosen their three hands, everyone reveals their selection. For each hand, the player with the strongest hand (from a poker point of view) will be chosen as the attacker, and the others will be the defenders. The attacker will attack each defender in a clockwise direction, with the defender playing his effects first, then the attacker. Once all the battles in the first, second and last hands have been completed, the cards in the hands are thrown into the pit. The game ends when only one player is left alive, or if 13 cards cannot be drawn. In the event of a tie, the tied players reconstitute their deck and play until there is no longer a tie.
In this version of War, players draw 7 cards from their own deck to form their initial hand. They then decide whether to discard a maximum of 2 cards and draw a maximum of 1 card from their own deck again, for a total of 5 to 7 cards for the turn. Players then arrange their cards to form a 5-card army, with up to two reinforcements. The order in which cards are placed is important: their effects will only be activated if they are placed directly next to other cards with the same effect. Each card can have only one backup, which takes its place in the event of defeat. The backup will not take part in any battle, but the effect of its card will be taken into account instead of the defeated card. Once players have decided on the formation of their army, the war begins. Starting with the left-most card, the player with the highest-value card will be chosen as the attacker, and the others will be the defenders. In the event of a tie, the battle is cancelled, no effect is activated and the war continues with the next card. The attacker attacks each defender clockwise, with the defender playing its effects first, then the attacker. Once all battles have been completed, the war ends and each player's armies are thrown into their respective pits, with discarded cards returned to their respective decks. The game ends when only one player is left alive, or if no 5-card army can be drawn.In the event of a tie, the tied players reconstitute their decks and play until there is no longer a tie.
